Can you use linseed oil on an interior wooden dining table?

I would like to add a coat of oil or vanish ect to this beautiful dining room table for protection.  I have over 3 litres of this linseed oil so I would like to make use of it.  It specifies outdoor furniture but I’m wondering if I could use it on my inside furniture

Re: Can you use linseed oil on an interior wooden dining table?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @dee_harris11. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about linseed oil.

The Anti-mould linseed oil is best suited to exterior applications. For internal use, it's recommended to use Diggers 1L Timber Oil Quicker Dry Concentrate. This formula doesn't have the anti-mould additive and is more suited to be used on a table.

If you have children that might place food on the table and then back in their mouth, I'd advise you to consider using a food-grade and food-safe product.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
