What would you recommend for attaching a door barricade to steel frame?

Hello,

i'm installing a door barricade on the inside of my garage. The pack came with timber screws but i've got a metal frame which is probably hollow.
What would you recommend I use to attach it securely?

Many thanks.

Hi @drog1998,

Thank you for your question and welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it's fantastic to have you with us.

You should simply replace the wooden screws with a metal screw of a similar length. Without measurements I can only hazard a guess, but something like the Zenith 10G x 50mm Galvanised Countersunk Head Metal Screw should do the trick.

Just make sure that the length of your chosen metal screw matches up with the length of the wooden screws. If your screws are shorter than the ones I have linked to, they come in a variety of sizes that will be right next to each other in store. If you need any assistance, I am sure the helpful staff at your local Bunnings will be happy to assist.

Let me know if you need any more help.

Jacob
