How to stop water from penetrating external door sill?

Hi,

Have come across a little issue after a recent downpour. Issue appears to be water penetrating the under side of the door sill.

I can see a little gap between the sill and the brick.

What would be the best way to seal the water out from under the sill? Caulking the under side of the sill? Placing some expanding foam? or potential rubber and then caulk?

Hello @vas90

The gap does not appear to be very big. I suggest using Poly 450g Black Coloured Caulk Gap Filler. However, before using it, please make sure that the timber and paver are totally dry and free of dust and debris.

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Thanks for the response, safe to say to only apply this on the external side?

Hi @vas90,

It's always best to seal leaks on the external side. Do the outside first, and then if you continue to have an issue, you can choose to seal the inside, too.
