Side path paver transformation

Project parents back yard.

My parents back yard needed a bit of work. Got few quotes on what could be done and nothing was really working for my parents budget wise. We decided to get some pabers and level the area out.

We searched for pavers 400x400 on gumtree and after 6 months of searching, asking if available we found 157 pavers.

One year and half later we got to get this done for mum and dad.

We ordered 3 tons of road base and 2.5t of bedding sand. We removed the grass, compacted the dirt, layed 50mm of road base and compacted. Then layed 40mm of bedding sand and compacted it down. The started to lay the pavers. We used 125mm angle grider with a diamond blade cutting wheel, to cut the pavers to shape the existing footpath and used a rubber mallet to tap everything in place.

This project took 9 days to complete.

Re: Side path paver transformation

Great work @Lmassih! It Looks like you've improved the access dramatically, and the areas appear much safer now, which is a bonus. I love the choice of pavers; you did a great job sourcing budget-friendly options.

Well done, and many thanks for sharing!

Mitchell
