How to attach VJ panels to brick wall?

Hello,

I have read all of the guidance on attaching VJ panelling to a brick wall, which i'm planning to do in my living room, but wondering what the best way is to build a temporary frame for when the glue is setting? Or are there other options thank a brace?

Thanks,

Nat

Re: Attaching VJ panels to brick wall

Hello @NatP

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question about installing EasyVJ panels.

Building a brace can sometimes damage the surface of the EasyVJ panel. Instead, I suggest thinking about using wall plugs in your bricks so that you can screw the panel onto the wall. Once the adhesive cures, you have the choice of either removing the screws or leaving it in.

They can be covered with filler sanded down and painted over. In this manner you can install the panels relatively quite quickly and you won't have to build a great number of braces to hold the panels in place.

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Eric
