What to do with poinsettia after Christmas?

I dont know what to do with my poinsettias now Christmas is over? They have lost most there leave now but I did notice some new little sprouts. I'm not sure if I should prune it back. Will it come back to life if I don't touch it?

Re: poinsettia after Christmas?

Good afternoon @growcat you can replant your Poinsettia into a slightly larger pot if you want too. Give it a liquid feed. Keep an eye on the watering on hot days. The leaf bracts naturally colour up in the winter months as they are forced into colouring for Christmas. Enjoy it as grows. Trim it back when it’s leggy 😃🌿🪴

Re: poinsettia after Christmas?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @growcat. It's lovely to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about Poinsettias.

It's great to see that @mich1972 has already provided some helpful advice. I'd agree that upsizing the pot would be helpful for the plant in the year ahead.

Here's a helpful guide: Planting, growing and pruning Poinsettias.

Please let us know if you have any questions.
