How can I fix small cracks in the garage concrete?

There are a lot of sinkage cracks in my garage. How do I fill them in before painting?

Can you suggest the products to fill the cracks?

Re: How can I fix small cracks in the garage concrete?

Hello @KevinPlant

Thanks for sharing your question regarding filling the cracks in your concrete garage. I suggest using Earl's 500g Concremate Expanding Cement in combination with a scraper. However, because the cracks are so fine you might be able to paint over it without having to fill it.

The general steps to painting your garage is to first wash the concrete surface, let it dry and then use a concrete etcher on the surface. Once the floor has been prepared you can then paint it with a primer and then the topcoat. If you are driving your vehicle into the garage its best to use products that resists hot tire pick up.

I recommend having a look at the Dy Mark Epoxy Coat Garage Floor Kit. It is a durable, two-part, solvent-based epoxy floor coating designed to provide a professional finish on bare interior concrete floors. It resists hot tyre pick up and provides excellent resistance to heavy foot and vehicle traffic.

Here are some handy step-by-step guides:

Please remember to wear personal protection such as gloves, goggles and a mask. Please make sure to follow all the safety precautions printed on the packaging.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.
