Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @kritin. It's sensational to have you join us, and many thanks for your question on epoxy coatings.

You can coat over the existing work, and I'll include the method below:

  • Lightly sand the area of the epoxy with 120 grit sandpaper to improve the surface adhesion for the next coat.

  • As advised you can purchase a sanding block on a handle to make sanding easier.

  • Vacuum any dust that remains after sanding.

  • Wipe down the area with isopropyl alcohol or general-purpose thinners.

  • Ensure to follow the correct induction and pot lifetimes based on the ambient temperature.

  • Follow the instructions – Mixing Part A (Base) with Part B (activator)

  • Use a 12 to 15mm nap microfibre roller to apply the epoxy to your floor.

  • Leave the floor for 7 days to properly cure.

Please let me know if you have further questions.

Mitchell
