ProjectEx is a 1914 workers cottage which we lifted & removed all rock which filled the underside space completely. The front verandah (pictured) is the start of our project which required original 100x100 hardwood timber replacement as part of the renovation & restoration works due to 'Dry Rot'
In keeping with the original structure, 8 bearers and 4 floor joists were specifically sourced from reclaimed hardwood of demolished houses of that era. The front 'Bullnose' verandah was enclosed in the mid seveties and so made the decision to open it up again and restore this space to its original glory. We are partially (halfway I think) completed and heres a picture to date.
I will post in time upon nearing completion and completed so you can see the before and after comparison.
