Homemade gifts are a great way to show your creativity and affection for your loved ones.

 

Whether it’s for a housewarming or to celebrate the festive season, Bunnings Workshop community members have shared many creative D.I.Y. gift projects.

1. Ottoman tray for living room by @igarimasingh 

 

Delight your loved ones with D.I.Y. home decoration items, like this Ottoman tray made from timber panels and black door handles.

2. Easy D.I.Y. wall hanging by @sandy_d 

 

This wall hanging with a painted mountaintop design can be a great way to decorate walls. Sandra has shared step-by-step instructions for making your own.

3. Easy-care terrariums by @mich1972 

 

Terrariums are perfect presents for people who don’t have a lot of space and also prefer low-maintenance.

4. Tasmanian Oak chopping board by @AnitaP 

 

This D.I.Y. Tasmanian Oak chopping board can be made in about an hour and makes a terrific functional gift.

5. Nuts and bolts chess set by @SarahC4 

 

A chess set made using recycled timber, glue, paint and a variety of nuts and bolts – a great gift for chess lovers.

6. D.I.Y. Mallee Burl wood pens by @robchin 

 

Rob used Mallee Burl wood to make these pair of pens as a wedding gift for friends.

7. D.I.Y. furnished dollhouse by @prettyliving 


Perfect for little ones, this dollhouse was built from scratch and features hand-made furnishings, battery-operated lighting and a replica dollhouse inside. You can also improve an existing dollhouse using Jess's step-by-step instructions in her guide How to upcycle a dollhouse.

8. Custom timber bread box with roll door by @ramoncarreon 

Built as a housewarming gift, this custom bread box was made using Pine.

9. Engraved bath caddy by @Wayne 

 

Wayne made a personalised bath caddy from an old tabletop with space for tealight candles, an iPad, a wine glass and bottle.
