How to fix damaged paint on window sill?

 As I accidentally spilled essential oil, this oil damaged the window sill like this the next day.What is the fix for this please and thank you

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @GeoffreySuo. It's brilliant to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about repairing a painted surface.

I suggest you start by sanding the damaged area with 180-grit sandpaper. Once the bulk of the damaged paint is removed, swap it over to 240-grit and blend the hard edge from the good paint into the timber smoothly. You don't want to be able to feel the step between the higher thickness of paint and the bare timber. You can then prime the area and repaint with a water-based acrylic paint.
