How to install a kitchen wood oven?

We are installing an old wood oven. What is suggested to use for it to sit on please? As in fire resistant type board?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us, and thank you for sharing your question about installing your wood oven in your kitchen.

Before you position the wood oven in your kitchen, I suggest visiting your local council and having a look at the rules and regulations concerning the installation of a woodfired appliance. Aside from the required base, the surrounding cabinetry and back panel must also be protected. Your local council will have guidelines on materials and recommended distances.

I would also suggest getting a quote from a fireplace installer as the installation might require the job to be signed off by a registered installer.
