How to fill holes in wood?

Hi all

I screwed a handle into a piece of wood I am planning for a cabinet door but realised I have drilled the holes too high.

I am looking for a filler for the two drill holes which will hopefully blend into the colour of the wood, picture attached?

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Tim

Re: Filling holes in wood

Hi @timln,

Since the timber is not one solid colour but a mixture of darker and lighter tones, you'll find that any solid colour filler will stand out quite dramatically. Have a look at the range of Earl's 0.140kg MulTfill Ready To Use Filler. It appears you should find a similar colour. The other option is to use Earl's waxstix, and combine two colours to better blend and conceal the filled holes. I'll include a video below on how to use them.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Mitchell
