How to attach dishwasher drainage under sink?

We've just gotten a new dishwasher, and we haven't had one installed before. (Older house).

Trying to figure out how to attach the drainage to the current set up under the sinks. There's no dishwasher drainage barb thing, but there is access to drainage through a 32mm spout on the left.

Looking for what we need to make the connection and/or if there is an adapter of some kind that would work.

Thanks in advance!

Re: How to attach dishwasher drainage under sink

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @ItsMyNutella. It's fantastic to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about attaching a dishwasher waste.

Attaching the waste pipe will take a little work, and the trap setup will need to be changed. You require the barb to connect the waste, but due to the second sink, its connection is occupying the room and height we need. If there weren't a second sink, then it would be as easy as switching out the current trap for one with a barb. A problem you might encounter is not enough room to install a Caroma 50mm P Trap under the connection from the other sink. The bottom of it might hit the shelf.

You can't connect your waste to the 32mm outlet as that is past the trap section. Your connection needs to be prior to it.

Remember that plumbing work requires a licensed professional, so you'll need to enlist their services for this alteration.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
