DIY spice rack

Using Volume 1: Spice Racks from my complete handymans bookshelf I put together this Spice Rack.

 

IYKYK the pop culture reference.

Materials

90mm x 30mm Pine DAR

42mm x 19mm Pine DAR

Nails

Glue

Varnish

Tools

Circular Saw

Hammer

Clamps

Steps

Step 1

Sketched out the pieces on the source wood

Cut them to size roughly

Shaped them all

Glued and nailed them angrily together

Varnished

I didn't think it was possible, but you've made an amazing facsimile of Homer's ultimate gift to Marge. If I'm not mistaken this is actually much harder to make than an actual proper spice rack.

Thanks @EricL (and well done for getting the reference too).  You are right, it took a lot longer to make, only 1 of those nails could even be considered slightly structural.Screenshot 2024-02-01 at 2.27.33 pm.png

Thanks @Dave-1, it is actually a gift for an avid fan, so I'm really hoping a) they get the reference, and b) they find a good home for it!
