Installed garden stakes to straighten up trees

During recent heavy winds a row of upto 2m high Pittosporum got blown about and ended up leaning out of place. 1st timer having to fix this.

The lightweight staple gun did not come with instructions, nor reference to the website and could not find instruction video online. Youtube videos I saw were not too helpful - talking too long, wasting time showing the packaging being cut open, etc.

I just figured out how to load the staples, and get it to work. Hammered stakes into soil one per tree - not too close to main tree trunk, measured, cut and stapled webbing to each stake. Everything worked well. Now let's see how it holds up this week when heavy winds are predicted.

Materials

from Bunnings I got:

 - Jack green heavy duty tree webbing tie 45mm x 50m, $24.

-Timber garden stakes 25mmx 25mm x 1500mm, $21 /6pk

Need : gloves to handle timber to avoid splinters.

Tools

- CraftRight staple gun with 100, 8mm staples $8

- Scissors to cut webbing to size

- Something heavy and solid to hammer stakes into soil, I used a long  offcut  block of timber that did the job.

- someone to help hold things in place while staples are installed.
