My basil plant leaves are being eaten by insects.  How do I protect it?

Re: How to protect holy basil plant leaves from being eaten by insects?

Hi @aruna_k

It looks like the insects that were chewing on your Calendula have managed to travel to your basil plant. I suggest doing a little bit of an investigation and finding out what insect is chewing on the leaves of your basil plant. If they are the same caterpillars from the other side, I suggest using Yates 40g Natures Way Caterpillar Killer Dipel Insecticide. It is a certified organic caterpillar control product which can be used on edibles (herbs, vegetables and fruits) and ornamentals.

Please do not use the Eco Neem on this plant as it is for ornamental plants only.

Please make sure to wear personal protection such as gloves, goggles and an appropriate mask when using this insecticide. Please make sure to follow all the safety guidelines printed at the back of the bottle.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Eric
