How to get rid of weeds permanently?

This is before and after pictures/ video of side of my house. There is always overgrown unwanted plants and we have to clear every 6 months.  What would be the best option to get rid of them temporary or permanently ? Or can we do some rough cementing of those stones so that nothing can grow. Sometimes it is risk of insects plus snakes as well. Nothings happened so far though.

Re: Getting rid of weeds, unwanted plants, temporary or permanent

Hi @Sugar,

Cementing around the stones would certainly block the plant's ability to grow in the soil, though nature will always find a way. You could potentially spray the areas every three months with herbicide to prevent the emergence of weeds before they get the chance to take hold.

Weedmatting could also be used along the ground and above the retaining wall to further suppress the weeds.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Mitchell
