I have a rusty hole in the roof of the shed. From what I’ve read, is the procedure required to scrape out the rust, put rust converter on the spot and apply Crommelins exterior grade waterproofing? Or can you suggested a better repair method. Thanks
Hi @Franbote,
That would be a general method. However, your hole is so large that you'd need to add some Crommelin 100mm x 10m Reinforcing Fabric over the hole first to stop the Crommelin 1L Exterior Grade Brushable Waterproofer from falling through it. Paint some of the waterproof around the hole, stick the fabric down and then paint over it with another couple of coats.
The other option is to go with a Consolidated Alloys 50mm x 10m Weatherproof Byute Flash Flashing Tape over the area.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for your guidance on repairing the hole.
Is this method the best solution and most cost effective with the Crommelins products or is there a better alternative like replacing a sheet or the shed?
Thank you again
Morning @Franbote
"is there a better alternative like replacing a sheet or the shed?"
Yes, that's what I would be doing = replace the sheet (or sheets).
