Can you use a 36v 5.0 amp charger to charge a 6.0 amp battery?

I have 2 chargers, 1x 36v 5.0 charger and a 3v 6.0 charger. I have 4 batteries, 3 are 6.0amp 1 is a 5.0amp.

Can you use a 36v 5.0 amp charger to charge a 6.0 amp battery or will it degrade the 6.0 amp battery?

Hello @vinvcm

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us, and thank you for sharing your question about battery chargers.

Battery chargers and batteries are designed to work together exclusively so that they will perform at peak efficiency. Mixing and matching batteries and chargers is not advised as it may cause damage to both the charger and battery. Although it seems like it would work, I wouldn't risk it as it may produce long term damage and shorten the life of your batteries.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Eric
