I have a leak into the toilet from the outlet pipe because (I'm assuming) the rubber seal inside the tank is not closing well enough anymore.
I was looking on the Bunnings site for a complete replacement Outlet Valve thinking "I can just replace it, should not be a big deal", but then realized something weird:
On most "standard" cisterns that I found searching online, there is just "a hole" on the bottom of the cistern, and this is where a new Outlet Valve unit would fit THROUGH the hole and then you lock it in with the screw-on adapter from below to lock it with the seals against the hole, but the Caroma 230 Cistern has a FIXED bottom section, with the thread built into the part that sticks out (image below) which would mean that I can't use a replacement from Bunnings unless - I'm guessing here - I "drill out or cut" the fixed part first? and then pass the replacement through the hole and use the locking system build into the replacement?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's marvellous to have you join us, and thank you for sharing your question about replacing the outlet valve of your Caroma cistern.
You're absolutely correct on your assessment about this toilet cistern. It is not a simple replacement method as it looks like the flushing mechanism is integrated into the cistern itself. Would it be possible for you to post a photo of the inside of the cistern itself. We'll need to see what the layout looks like inside the cistern and how the flushing mechanism is installed.
Please make sure to take a photo of the inside of the cistern without water so that we can see the guts of it. I'm sure there is a way to disassemble it as Caroma would not build something that can't be repaired or serviced.

Added more detailed images below with some dimensions for reference.
At the moment, I assume that the "Option 1" simplest solution to try out would be to obtain a new black rubber washer to see if it makes a better seal to the outlet hole in the cistern. "Option 2" might be just to install a new cistern, hence why I measured the mount holes, as hopefully that's a standard dimension and no new holes need punching in walls.
I have not looked at "complete cistern" replacement options on Bunnings because I'm very new at this stuff and I'm not sure I'd choose the right item, hence why I'm on this forums atm. I had already purchased and installed a new inflow valve from Bunnings because the previous one broke, but I assume most new cisterns come with all the inside parts?

The first thing to do here is to replace the seating washer. Pull your washer off the fitting and take it in-store to be matched up. You'll find this step-by-step guide useful: How to fix a leaking toilet. You've already got the flush valve out, so replacing the washer should be a sinch! Replace it and see if that solves your issue. If it doesn't, personally, I'd just replace the cistern. Cisterns are relatively universal, and something like the Estilo White Linksuite PVC Cistern WELS 3 Star 6.3 L/full should do the job. I wouldn't muck around trying to drill out the bottom of your current cistern.
I don't see any reason why replacing the seating washer wouldn't resolve your issue.

Hopefully, if the holes need to be adjusted @Taurondir, the previous one will be covered by the new cisterns footprint.
