What was your favourite project this year?

As 2015 rapidly draws to a close, I'm keen to hear about the project that gave you the most enjoyment or satisfaction this year.

It might be the hand-built creation that you are most proud of, the plant in your garden you now most admire, or that you have finally mastered a skill during the year.

What was your D.I.Y. highlight of 2015?

I made this desk from reclaimed floorboards. Whilst the wood isn't great quality, I think it's a good show of what can be done with a bit of sanding and danish oil. It's my favourite this year because I use it everyday!

Great work @NickM, thanks for sharing. Is the desk at standing height?

No / the photo makes it look that way but it's standard desk height

Re: What was your favourite project this year?

Hard to pick one because many have been to achieve the same goal. Moved back into my house I built in 2010 and have spent a lot of time and money renovating. One thing that does stand our is my recent install of fake grass, mostly just because it was a new challenge for me.

We installed fake grass on our balcony...that was a challenge too, getting it to fit perfectly.  I love it.  It feels so nice underfoot.
