A little DIY fix...on the car this time...

I managed to semi run over our Dyson on the wknd and as I reversed to get off the top of it, it ripped the front capping off my sidestep...this is a $500 vaccuum coming off a tad better than my $50,000 Navara with only a few scratches to show for it. So whilst I wait on my overpriced replacement part to come, I still managed to sneak some wood into my DIY fix (cut cubes of wood then shoved them into high strength liquid nails). And now I'm thinking I shouldn't have bothered paying for the replacement...

That's amazing you didn't kill the vacuum cleaner @ProjectPete. It's very impressive that it survived!

 

Nice job on the repair work. The price of car parts can be ridiculous.
