Front garden mini-makeover

Over the past two weeks we've been ripping out the existing raised garden planter boxes and all plants/trees as the timber used for planter boxes were not treated and the trees planted should never have been planted right up against the house and under power lines!

We laid a series of stepping stones leading to the front steps, planted some hardier/low maintence plants (yuccas, red cordylines, mondo grasses) and surrounded the path with white stones.

Re: Front garden mini-makeover

It is amazing how a little bit of hard work can dramatically change the look of a house and add value. It gives your house a modern look with street appeal.
Nice job.

Great work! Complete facelift and without knowing how much you spent, I dare say it wasn't much especially given the huge difference it makes. How's it gone over the past 17months?

Re: Front garden mini-makeover

Thanks @james64 and @ProjectPete, the front has been going very well. Very happy with the results to date for an inexpensive makeover. We'd love to eventually cover the front porch with decking, currenlty only painted concrete. But priority is to build the one out the back first!

Re: Front garden mini-makeover

Love the new trees, the contrast between them work really great.

Are they Yuccas and Cordalines??

Sorry about the spelling?
