Building a DIY motorised camera slider.

Hi people, this a bit outside of my usual woodworking projects. But I recently finished a DIY Camera slider with a stepper motor that is controlled by an Ardunino. The build video is on youtube. Had a few along the way.

If your interested camera sliders are used to get nice smooth panning shots. There are come examples of these shots at the end of the video.

Hope you enjoy it!

Re: Building a DIY motorised camera slider.

I hadn't heard of Arduino before your post. Assume now its very similiar to Raspberry pi? What is it needed for in your project?

Re: Building a DIY motorised camera slider.

Hi @Kermit Arduino is a general purpose open source programmable microcontroller. It's basically a very simple raspberry pi but with more input and output pins.
