Can i shift a pink lilac tree

Can anyone please advise me as to to possibility of shifting a pink lilac tree. It is about 1.5 metres high and has been in the ground for about 3 years. I would loke to shift it to another part of the garden.

Lilacs are tough so you should have no problem moving it. It will need a really sunny spot. Don't move it now though - you'll need to wait until early spring. When its time make sure you dig as big a root ball as possible, with as much soil as possible, and of course give it some compost.

Thank you for this information also the advice about not shifting it until spring. I was thinking it was ok to do it now, now, will have to wait for a while wont I. There is still plenty to do in other areas of the garden to keep me out of miscief.
